Back in 2003, when The Remington Society did their annual seminar at the BBHC and Cody Firearms Museum, There was a Parker Bros. hammer cape gun in one of the displays. As I recall, the display card said it was made for some famous Army General of the old west. In the various early E. Remington & Sons doubles they offered cape gun versions, but later and in the Remington Arms Co. days they offered rifle barrel inserts. We have seen a Parker Bros double with one of these insets.
