I am not an expert on the subject, but Fraser and Henry are two of my favorite makers.
Adding to Fletched excellent post, another data point is that Fraser's company started as D&J Fraser, until the mid 1880s and then switched to Dan'l Fraser.
Fraser did some business rebarelling other makers' rifles.
I own a Purdey double rifle that he rebarelled from 450BPE to 9.3x74R in the early 20th century. I know of other guns that he rebarelled.
He was fond of the 360 caliber and had his own .400/.360 2 3/4" flavor with a 289 grains bullet, virtually the same as the standard 9.3x74R bullet.
Another interesting point is that Fraser used the Webley screw grip patent on many of his rifles including early 1880's ones.
I don't know if he bought the actions from Webley or built them himself.
Most of his double rifles are boxlock, but he made a few sidelocks as well. I am very lucky to own one.
Best regards,
WC
