Very nice gun and I am really surprised at the cost of redoing this entire gun. If I understand you correctly, the entire cost for the wood work and metal work was in the $3,000 -$4,000 range? I have never had an old one reworked but that seems very reasonable to me and worthy of looking into. I also am attacted to guns that have a history behind them with a story to tell.
