I woundn't fret about "missing" out on a overpriced restocked H&H. Arent you getting a brand new, built for you, high grade CSMC A.H. Fox smallbore with another set of barrels?? Jesus man, relax!!! I think you're gonna be just fine brother!
I doubt Ansley would look at a CSMC Fox and claim it to be a "reproduction". He'd probably be very proud that his design is still being made today at an very high level, a level that rivals what he himself could've made. In all honsesty he'd probably be extremely jealous to tell you the truth. When it comes to new production custom guns...those CSMC Fox's are a great bargain. You did well and I think you're gonna be very happy with the final product.

This is nonsensical talk. I hunt in mud and at pegs also. I wear camo and the best traveling suit at hunting also. Some prefer 100 bucks IZH guns, some 100,000 Purdey's. Personally I prefer the last one and took my Matska in dirt and in snows some of you never saw. Don't forget I'm in Russia, not in UK.

Who cares about Fox replica? Wouldn't that statement qualify as "silly" talk?? Alot of people care about Fox's Geno, replicas or not. And like I said before, I dont think these CSMC Fox guns are "Replicas". Parker Reproductions, now those are "replicas" IMO. The CSMC Fox is the real deal. When one builds a gun to a higher standard than the original, with better metals, finer wood, better executed engraving, finer finishing....I think it then overtakes the "original". Dustin

I am stuck busting brush with my low end double, shooting grouse and woodcock, dreaming it was a H&H or Purdey. I want to see a 100,000 plus double with mud, water, dirt and fresh scratches, also some blood were a bird was dispatched.

The original AHFox made in USA from 1905 till early 1930-th. Galazan began to make Fox's several years ago. It doesn't matter Galazan paid for the Fox brand name, these guns making by complitely different hands and 70 years later. Sorry, but for me it sounds replica.
I don't want to discuss now who needs this replica in the world besides Americans as soon as this brand is not an authority on gun world.

j0ey - try touching your nose before you reply! I like to scratch my aZZ once just for you before I reply Lowell. I know enough about guns to know that fitting wood to unfinished metal as a gun is being built new is easier to get a perfect fit. It takes a heck of a stock man to fit wood as good to a finished reciever.
