I dont have the form in front of me , tossed it after I got back, but I seem to remember lots of allowable handguns on it.I doubt that its as grim as people paint it...
There are three general classifications of firearms in Canada, non-restricted, restricted and prohibited.
Most long arms that are not full auto qualify as non restricted.
Hand guns are either restricted or prohibited. If they are prohibited you may NOT bring them into the country.
If they are restricted then you must get an ATT (authorization to transport) from the office of the chief firearms officer in each province that you will be in. You must have the ATT before you get to the border. Messing with this will result in severe measure taken. Canadian authorities have little sense of humour about this sort of thing. Zero leniency.
