It has been a few days since the wet festivities at Addieville ended. Just curious what those that attended thought about the venue compared to the previous ones in MD or NY. I had a great time on Friday (although a bit wet) watching the double rifle events and I enjoyed the targets that were thrown on Saturday for the Preliminary as well as the small gauge events. The Saturday dinner was outstanding with a great group of people and wonderful food. Sunday was a very nice time shooting in the main event with what I thought were fair targets for this venue. Overall, I thought the group at Addieville did a great job, I thought the activities were very good and I would certainly do it again next year - but then I live in RI, although I have shot in events at the other locations as well. I am surprised that there were no postings on Sunday or Monday in regards to this event as it seems to fit exactly into this site. Hopefully lack of comment does not mean that the weekend was not well done. Thanks Z

Judy and I had a great time. The Saturday dinner was great and I only wish that I knew who you were so we could have spoken.
I shot my usual best - lousy. Judy, my wife, was the 20 gauge ladies champion.
Now, if you can just get Rhode Island to cut off the rain next year it would be nearly perfect.

Venue and set up was fantastic. Food very good. Rain a real bore! Robin Hollow were very friendly & helpful. Customers in the tents were rather thin on the ground but it was the first time back at this venue so I will back next year.

I wish all the major shooting events were this close to home. We had a great time - Everyone worked hard to make it very worthwhile for anyone who attended. As always, Jack and the Addieville crew went above and beyond to make it appear seamless and the Vintagers certainly put on a very nice event.
I'll definitely be back next year.

I had a great time. Saw lots of new faces and a few old friends. Vendors were terrific. Everyone was friendly and the shooting was better than in Maryland. There were some great restaurants in the area.
Two guns I was interested in were sold while I hesitated.
I think the weather forecast (which turned out to be pretty accurate) cut the attendance severely. I would guess the attendance would have doubled or tripled had the weather been good. Who is going to drive at least half a day with nothing but rain in the forecast (except me of course).
Dave took some pictures which should be up soon or maybe they are already posted.
So many guns, so little time!

I thought attendance was off even more than last year at Pin tail Pt when there was a competing event in GA on the same week end. No competeing event this year. Sure the bad weather factored in for thsoe close by, day trippers. but those at a distance who planned to be there were already commited and would have been there no matter what the weather. I saw few guns moving in or out of the tents for sale or having been sold. Much discussions that high cost of tables was a factor for many dealers who have to recoup that money and travel expenses in this bad economy. Mr. Barnett's understandable absence was another thing. Others told me the travel distnace was too far for those beyond 6 hours or so. The shooting venues were excellent and the hosting club had excellent courses and score keepers. Good targets. Food was outstanding, at reasonable prices for venues like this. With all this said, I travelled 7 hours one way and will do it again next year if the event is at the same location. The one suggestion I have is the organisers reduce the table prices to attract more dealers which in turn will bring in more shooters and visitors.
