Anybody who has hunted chukars in the western big canyon country understands the value of a sling. Lots of climbing, up and down, makes the slign worth its weight in gold. I use a home made outfit of 550 cord, keep it in my pocket until I need it.

I'm a big fan of slip on slings for western chukar and open country upland hunting, but have permanently mounted ones too on my euro guns which are fine.
