From what I understand Lindner didn't really make any of the Daly guns, but "sourced" them from various, mostly Bavarian, firms. I found that Lindner actually only had around 4 employees and they may have assembled, but not made the Daly guns.

Yeah, kind of like Purdey and Boss. I believe those four guys must have known something about a file. Of course I'm just going on what I have seen of my own Lindners. The experience of others may differ.

All the Prussian Daly's that I have seen show very high levels of craftsmanship, both the Lindner and Sauer guns! After the 1920's that craftsmanship became more rare!

Afgter the 1920's, some Daly-marked guns started coming out of Belgium. That was the end of the German Daly era. I've only seen OU's from Belgium marked Daly. Not sure whether there were any sxs. They're nice enough guns, but certainly not equal to German Dalys.

I'm trying to identify a Charles Daly 10 gauge sxs that doesn't have many markings on it. What would be the best way to find information on it?

Murphy, I have had a SUPERIOR Grade like yours and my investigations indicate they were made by Marocchi in Italy.

Hello unkleb
WELCOME on your FIRST post

As Raimey said, if you will post pictures of the gun and then
the barrel flats and then the water table. That will be most helpful

Again,
Welcome
