jOe amuses me and I've been in his gun sights a couple of times. Even got me pissed once. He's pretty funny at times, I think. I've had some good laughs with some of his caustic remarks and otherwise.

OK, good, enough of the j0e bashing on this post.

It is Monday, anyone made progress on any other option
for sleeving in North America??

On jOe - I do appreciate his brutal honesty. At times it is needed. Too much junk in the way of guns are pawned off on unsuspecting, trusting, folks as it is. Glad that jOe is not afraid to speak his mind.

For sleeving in North America, I mentioned Kirk Merrington on the 1st page but I'm not sure of his health right now.

If jOe can be bashed here he certainly can be defended. I was contacted by jOe, too, once. He pm(ed) me to tell me about a sale on non-tox duck loads that he thought I may not have known about. I honestly don't remember whether or not he gave me his full name and number, but seem to recall that he did.

I don't have to agree with everything he or anybody else on here says to get along with them. I hope jOe sticks around and stays healthy.

Good luck with the sleeving info, Adam, sorry I can't help in that regard.

Kirk Merrington is open for business and producing work again. I am not sure how back logged he is but I am comfortable recommending the quality of his work.

Didn't Kirk used to be the barrel man at Briley? If I am mistaken please say so. As I recall, I was told he trained another to do the barrel sleeving for Briley, but that the guy who does it now is not in the class with Merrington.

I know the malevelant memphian's real name and address, heck I've written checks to him and bought stuff from him. I would like to make it clear though that I did NOT buy that pinkish-purply colored leather purse (he called it a shell bag) he had for sale on here one time. Not a bad guy...Geo

It took me a while to figure jOe out. I like reading his posts. My cousin Rachel might be interested in a pink/purple shell bag jOe. That color should stand out in a cornfield. smile

Adam, I really donīt think it worth $2300 to get a Webley boxlock sleeved (it would cost more to get a good job done in the UK). You could buy a decent Westley Richards that is old but doesnīt need sleeving for about the same ! rgds, Mike
