Greg G Sidelock Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 51 Likes: 1	I agree, the buttplate should be steel on a 1940 gun. Even the pre-64's that had plastic plates had a different style than the one shown. Also the finish looks too smooth,if original,it should have sunk into the pores a little bit. None the less, a really nice looking gun.
