I saw a post on a SLNE DT shotgun called an 'Armi San MArco' from Gardone Italy. Recently I came across one of these guns for a very reasonable price. Very attractive gun in 20 gauge. As I couldn't find the previous thread, could someone tell me something about these guns? In Very Good (nearly excellent condition) is it worth $500? I've never seen any sidelock for that kind of price. Thanks guys!

Here's one thread:

Just search the letters Marco & you might sift thru and locate it.

Kind Regards,

Armi San Marco was located in Gardone, Italy, acquired by American Western Arms, Inc. in 2000 and reorganized as American Western Arms, Italia. Previously imported by E.M.F., located in Santa Ana, CA, and sold through E.M.F., Traditions, Cabela´s, other retail gun stores.

They specialized in reproduction American pistols and rifles. They did not have a good reputation.

Thanks for the responses! ellenbr, thanks for the link. I remembered seeing it one time a while back but couldn't find it with a search for some reason. The gun looks really nice for a $500 shotgun, but maybe looks aren't everything

You can't get much in a 20 Ga. Hammergun for 500 - it might be a bargin or a problem, hard to know until you have used it.

A Hammergun would be less prone to trouble than a Hammerless in my opinion.
