Measured again. From start of wood to tip of wood 10 3/4". This is a 1947 G2186B. Pal of mine has the near twin to this one, 2,000 serial higher but still with kidney checkering and when we had them side by side on the table there was no difference except that his had the forend anchor while mine has instead a 1/4" piece of rock maple between the forend iron and the wood.

Our two 'skeet' guns seem to have longer forends than the one you picture.
