For some reason there was a non binding transition from the German K to C that seems to have occurred between 1900 & WWI. After WWI it seems that it was set in stone. Take K�ln, C�ln, Cologne for example. And it may be that the use of the C preceded the substitution of K being somewhat cyclic in nature? Kind Regards, Raimey rse
