Excellent work - just beautiful. You checkered it? I commend you on a flawless job. Curious about the foreend tip and the front sight.

Very nice. I'm a convert to bolt-on pistol grips and have two of them on different rifles. It looks like you are going to be shooting Creedmoor matches with it.

I am curious about the tang sight. It appears to be an MVA soule but what about that base? Did you build or modify one?

How did you blue it? Your barrel looks exceptionally blue rather than black. I'd be interested to know how it was done.
Brent

Ryan, Yes, I checkered it. It has an ebony forend tip shaped in the English style but a little bit longer. Lee Shaver, Parker Hale front sight.

Brent, The MVA Ballard was a good fit with a 13 degree base.
The bluer color is in the polish and Dulite salts. I know, it's not rust blued but I did rust blue the butt plate. :>)

Bob:

Could we see a photo of the forend. I'm working on plans for restoration of a Swinburn Martini that will need a new forend and I've been looking for ideas of how to do one. It currently sports a .22 Long Rifle barrel liner and a BSA Model 12 or 12/15 forend fitted to the barrel.

Thanks.

I trust it will be on display at the firing line in Lodi in two weeks time. I sure hope so.
