gunman Sidelock Joined: May 2010 Posts: 1,543 Likes: 102 England	If the lever goes past center then it is not a question of bite .It is a question of the lever work being worn so that it dose not "stop" in the correct place . Depending on the actual construction of the lever work will depend on what needs doing to correct it . There is no one size fits all answer to this , and without stripping the thing down and examining it to ascertain the cause and the solution all else is conjecture and guessing .

Which brings up the design of the top lever in general. It is obviously unergonomic (try one handed opening of a top lever) and unnecessarily complitated compared to a side pedal, underlever, Ljutic slide or the Horsley thumb slide. But mental inertia rules and all guns have top levers.
