Here is a Farquharson I picked up in Nairobi in 1971. It had an oil soaked stock and a shot out 450/400 barrel. With no prospect of any more British caliber ammunition at the time, I had it rebarrelled in .50-110 and had the stock reproduced with a fairly nice piece of wood. There was no maker's mark, and I do not know who made it, or even which variety of Farquharson it is. Some day, I would like to have the engraving cleaned up and have it rebarrelled to .450 No. 2.
