I thought that the set screw was to be used for adjusting the tension on the saftey. What else could it be used for on this saftey.

Timney did send me, at no charge, replacement parts for their saftey. I did lose the set screw so I will have to adjust the spring tension by fitting a longer spring into the hole in the saftey. As things appear now, the saftey works like it should.
