Stan, you really ought to try it once before replacing it.

Hi Stan:

I have a Raybar sight on both of my 200e guns. I never see the bead when I am looking at the bird. Try it first. If it bothers you, paint it or place a piece of black tape over it. No need to remove it.

Great gun.

I replaced the one on my 280E ... not really an issue with shooting but hated the look of it on an otherwise pretty nice looking gun. With a simple bead on it, I no longer have to avert my eyes.

I agree w/leaving it alone, but I'm also surprised it isn't an ISO metric thread since the SKB's were all made in Japan.

The Raybar sights are not particularly bright anyway. I'd let your grandson decide if it bothers him; he looks to be capable enough from the pics you have shared w/us. I'd bet if it has feathers on it that's where he will be looking.

Good on ya for keeping him in the fold. That's fine choice of ordinance too.

Best regards, tw

I think they look good on an Ithaca 37. Not sure I'd feel the same about a double.

Best,

I HAVE A 200E AND THEY UNSCREW, I BELIEVE IT IS A SERIOUS
DETERRENT TO SHOOTING AND MOST PROFESSIONAL COACHES WILL RIP THEM OFF, AS DAN CARLILSE DID MINE.

Stallones, I get it you don't like Raybar sights. But please do not shout at us!! I do not agree with you but to each his own. Do what ever your want, I could care less, but there is a market for Raybar sites so, if you are prudent, don't toss it.

Mine will be for sale, once it is removed. Glad it has some value to someone. They do not belong on a SxS IMO.

The gunshop where I purchased it in 1976 was located only three blocks from the bar where the shooting occurred last night in Tuscaloosa. What a different world in which we now reside.
