I went down this road several years back with my son but had no luck and went a differnt route. My youngest daughter has taken an interest in shooting and I have a Red Label 28, a 40th birthday present that would be great with a shorter stock. It currently has a st grip with a lot of feather for a Ruger. In short, too pertty to cut. Any idea where to find one, already cut would be ideal> Does not matter if straght or pistol grip. Thanks.

I found one on EBay last year. They do come up from time to time. Mine was listed as a Rugar 28 ga. stock. Since it was miss spelled I was the only bidder and I think the only one who saw the listing. You have to spell things on EBay correctly or almost no one will see them. I have a sort list of miss spelled words that I check from time to time.
Short list examples; Ithaca, Ithica Ruger, Rugar Superposed, Superpose, Superposse. Remington 3200, Remington 32OO with OO being letters instead of 00 zeros. Some searches will not see a letter O as a Zero.

Thanks JC. $79 I can handle, as I recall when I called Ruger 4 or 5 years ago, they wanted $200 or so.

Tyler, you are welcome. The price did sound reasonable.

I just got a reply for the email request I sent to Ruger. They said that stock, labor and return shipping would be $355.
