Attached is a picture of yet another Steve Earle Wesson #1 Long Range action.
This is genuine Ken Hurst engraving, a very intricate and confusing intertwining scroll. One of the tricks to figuring out Mr. Hurst's scroll is to try to find the origin. I noticed on this one that the origin of the hammer scroll is somewhere on the lock plate. Like all fine engraving, you really need to hold it in your hands to truly appreciate it.
The rifle belongs to Mr. Doug Mann, who apparently has come up with a stock for it somewhere. The action will be French Grayed, which should show off the scratching to good effect.
