There are no brass buckles or zippers to gouge your gun stock. It is very well built. It has plenty of room for a days hunting supplies, and maybe a couple of grouse.I also like the full over the shoulder support. I have found straps pull down and form a false pocket on your shoulder causing poor gun mounting, ya that's why I miss them. Dave
