Nothing fancy in the load department. I try to make a 06 load that duplicated the loads back when the rifle was made.

At one time I bought bulk Remington Core-Lokt 150gr 30-caliber bullets. They are no longer an inexpensive bullet. Because I shoot about 300-500 rounds of 06 every summer I bought a lot of bulk Hornady 150 FMJBT seconds or blemished bullets. I shoot 44gr 4895 (about 2700fps) and whatever primer I have lot of at the time.

Every case is full-length re-sized and the bullets are seated to factory OAL.

My targets are whatever I can see with the sights that are on the rifle, most have a receiver sight and a round or square front sight. I like white paper plates and set them at whatever range I can see an even halo around.

If I were to use the rifle for anything other than punching holes in paper I would do some load development. Using the very same load in everything gives me a better idea about the potential of different rifles.
