I am not sure, I owned the last LC SMITH A2 which happened to be a (2 barrel set) and the fact of it being the last seem to increase its value. Oh course it was in pretty sweet condition.

Your original question was about intrinsic value of a gun. In commerce such as this there is intrinsic and market value. Intrinsic value usually pertains to things such as businesses wherein one can establish a value based on productivity; value of patents held, plant and markets.

Market value is what you can sell it for. A Picasso or Holbein as no intrinsic value but they may have a market value.

Guns are more like that - I don't think you gun has an intrinsic value but it has a market value. And that is what the LC Smith collectors could estimate for you.
