"Liquid gold" is at $280.00 with one day to go before Ebay auction closes. Wish I inherited a few cases of sperm oil. Wonder what the last can sold for from Brownells?

Those prices are nothing. Watch ebay for the very occasional Ithaca Gun Oil can. I've seen those go for over $800.00 in good condition for a tiny 3 or 4 oz. can that is usually empty.

I have found sewing macine oil is a good substitute for use in tempering screw heads.Retention of tempering colours is excellent.I consolidated 10 bottle of this oil in a small can.This is sufficient for tempering screw heads,cost approx; $20.
