As a retired senior scientist in chemistry and pharmaceutical industry, I can attest to the fact that whatever you are showing in this photograph of the can is utterly inconsistent with reality. Sperm oil was used in minute quantities for lubrication in fine bearing surface instruments like watches and other light load bearing frictional implements where access was limited to periodic cleaning and restoration. Just by looking at the lack of yellowing and decomposition of the edges of label of the can screams fraud, since it's availability for commercial uses was limited for the last 60 years. Sperm oil, which has not been available for decades, was rendered and refined for niche uses. I strongly suspect that someone pasted this label on the can to fool and profit.
