Our group of Beretta SxS aficionados is off & running; we're trying to help a member strategize a restoration project - if you'd like to be a part of this ongoing dialogue…and other Beretta Paralleli discussions, please drop me an email (jimbode@nctv.com) & I'll include you in the emails. Here's the project:

The gun is a 1950 Beretta Model 411E, 12 gauge; DT; 2 ¾”; nitro proofed. Some of the focus areas identified for restoration are:

• The barrels have been cut so it will need chokes; maybe Briley thin wall chokes.
• The barrel will need polishing and reblueing.
• The mechanicals will need to be checked over and parts replaced
• The gun may need to be rejointed.
• The stock is broken and needs to be restocked.
• There is some pitting on the action finish. The bores are good.

So….let us know if you have any thoughts, questions, or experiences to share on this type of work; ditto for advice on sourcing spare parts.
