Pump Action Shotguns are the quintessential American Repeating Shotgun. Winchester 1897s, 1912s, and 42s are very fine guns, as are the Remington M17s, M31s, Ithaca 37s and the often overlooked Savage Model 21 and 28. I know I am leaving some good ones out - but these are pump guns that I own and shoot.

My favorite shooting pump is a Model 31 16 gauge - perfection in a Corn Sheller !
