I only have two comments: 1. Never look a gift horse in the mouth.( and for $20 this would most certainly be a gift.) 2. How anyone could loose money growing cotton at today's prices should be glad they are not trying to operate a sawmill.

And, could we have the balance point as measured to the front trigger, please?? Don, "we'll spin it after I win it". Tyler, dollar cotton is nice, but it's gotta rain a whole lot more than this year to make it. SRH

I'd love to sit down with it. Weight sounds right.

I was able to handle this gun at a Brownells sponsored event in Des Moines last weekend. Aside from the fact it is beautiful almost beyond desription it is wonderfully balanced and it fits me really well. Well worth the price of 1,000 tickets!

Well, Doug didn't bring the Remington to the Southern, at least didn't drag it out to show it to me. By the way Steve, the Mills bird belt hooks are not "home made". They are standard equipment, factory original, and face the ground to be useful. The buckle is installed upside down. When the buckle is turned around and the shells put in from the opposite end, the bird hooks will be very useful. Glad you enjoyed the story about my favorite Mills buckle. Bill Murphy

I heard from a couple of folks that were at the Brownells shindig that this Spectacular Remington was there and well received. Word has it that the ticket sales haven't been exactly blistering (less than 2500 of the 4000 max) and the chances to win better than many years. The drawing will be held June 23, 2012 at Cody, WY. Tickets are $20 each and they can be ordered online at this link: http://www.acgg.org/store/Another unpublished photo shows the factory Mills brass belt hooks and goes to show that idiotbore has an unexplainable fixation with trying to prove me wrong... It is truly a very well planned and extremely well executed one-of-a-kind double shotgun and is going to be the absolute delight of some lucky person in the very near future. Best, Steve

Yup, Steve, you're right. The hooks are not the factory Mills hooks. They are obviously home made as you said. By the way, why would I be an "idiot" when the original picture did not show the bottom part of the hooks? You try to educate us shotgun guys about your Smith and Wesson collecting hobby and we love it, but you react like a child when I try to educate the readers about Mills shotgun belts. You tell me the difference. Idiotbore?? Your turn.

Seriously Steve?? It's a small man who takes polite sharing of information as a personal affront and responds with name-calling. Maybe you're having a really bad day?
