Chuck: in terms of this stock bending, do you plan on using the 'hot oil' method or use infrared heat? Is one method better than the other? I have had several French walnut stocks bent utilizing the infrared light without any problems. Only one sprung back requiring a rebend. I have two Model 21's I would like to have tweaked a little but frankly I haven't had the guts to have it done for fear of breaking the original stocks....I have been warned that black walnut breaks fairly easy and is not as amenable to bending as the French. Any opinion on this issue?
