LB,
Yes, it changes the balance completely. The extra material is distributed from the breach to approx the half length of the barrels. I'll try to measure the diameters at different distances from the breach to give an idea of that.

But yes, it feels like a different gun altogether. Not a bad thing. A 28ga Repro, even in 28" barrels is a low MOI gun (that's for Don) or a bit quicker/lighter than most can shoot well, myself included. I'll make some comparisons with a 20 ga BSS or two that I have in a couple configs. Feel is similar.

Mike,
no stampings on the outside of the barrels or ribs. Just a marking of .410 and 3" on the watertable. Last I heard, CSM still offered the barrels, but a hugely increased price of $4000.

Just came back from the range. The barrels pattern right where they're pointed, one on top of the other. Chokes are tight. Patterns are typical.

I now plan to do the 3" long forcing cones and take the chanbers out to spec by using my new reamber. This will loosen the slightly tight chambers.

Great and then I find the 2 1/2 inch ammo really does well in the long chamber.
Really swats those doves and quail

Mike,
That little 2 1/2" Rem or Win sporting clays round is a great dove and quail load.

Beautiful. Nice to see that the dolls head fits better than the 16 ga. barrels did without the gap. How did they manage to fubar that one??

No sweat Chuck. Whatever you need.

So, no hunt this year? Anyone interested in another hunt/gathering, say down in Goodland (30 miles south) at a hotel?
