Without reading the article in its full context I really cannot comment, save to say that Chris Batha's observation and your comments must be good for selling copies of the article. I am not so sure that palm orientation is as critical to good shotgunning as eye alignment and visual acuity, which may well be all that is different between SxS & O/U shooting skills.
