Traditional English Guncases have always been expensive.
Westley Richards charge almost 3,000 for a leather case with accessories when you order a gun. Typical toe-under leather cases are 500 trade.
Cheap cases from China have been hitting the market lately, in a wide price range at the lower end. They do serve a purpose, as they provide a means of carrying your gun in an approximation of the type of case it should have. However, quality and detail lets these cases down and ultimately they look like what they are.
For transportation purposes, I think a hard plastic case does the job better and looks like what it is without pretension.
For presentation purposes, a vintage case fitted to you gun will be much better, though expect to pay over 250 for a decent one and a professional fitter will charge you 300 to fit and re-line it. I guess you pays your money and takes your choice.
