The ah 1293g is the weight of the tubeset in Kg at proof. I think the intent was akin to the Belgian where the tubeset could be weighed to see if any had been chopped off the end. With the 2283 I wonder if it began life at a talented mechanic in the town of Zella Sankt Blasii. I can't remember when the doll's head was protected, maybe Oct. of 1865? I think it to be referred to as passive? And did Westley have the rights to the bolted doll's head extension possibly in 1871?
