I did! $35 with my coupon. I have a featherweight framed field grade with a beavertail f/e that I love to shoot and the specs/drawings are right in the front of the book. How coooool.
As far as my inquiry about Mr. Johnson's book...I was just looking for background info from those more knowledgable than I.
I'm no expert so telling the accurate from the inaccurate would be very difficult for someone like me.
I find it hard to speak bad about someone's effort in using the best info available at the time. I'm sure every compilation of research gets more refined with each try. That's the beauty of today's research - databases and search engines that continue to grow.
Someone could probably be respectful to Mr. Johnson's effort and still explain or give examples of inconsistancies and/or inaccurate info. Sounds like it might be a sore subject in some circles.
