Sorry your gun was damaged, even happier no one was injured. I hope you don't mind if I take this opportunity to stress that Hunter Education and other firearms safety classes teach that leaning of firearms against vehicles in particular, and insecure rests in general, is an unsafe practice. Perhaps we all need to review what we learned long ago in regard to gun handling safety as it is all too easy to get a little lax. I just spent a 13 hour day conducting the field day activities for a 250 student Hunter Education class and I guess I am just a bit over sensitive to the issues of the day.
