An early grade 4 (9/26) came my way recently. Engraving is pretty much typical 4 BUT a little more detailed and refined then later years. Thought some might like a look.    McGraw work. This is a fully optioned 32 inch barreled trap and shoots as well as I can guide it.

The combination of utility and grace is seemingly ever present in graded Ithacas, uniquely American and executed with a flourish distinct to themselves.

I like how those colors have aged. They are like a water color that is both vivid in intensity yet subtle at the same time. Redone colors are often too bright, too brash. Perhaps in 50 years they will have aged with grace like the Ithaca but we will all be long gone.
