A board with 3/4" slats every 1 1/2" that has a bottom board on it and a cross piece to hold them in place works well. I place the sharp ends down, as I am using a wood base. It works well and allows you to see what you have as well as allowing air flow to help prevent rust. This can be hung on the wall or a piece added so that it can set on your bench. Mine's about 4' and could be longer but it could be made any length to fit the chisels you have.
