Sharps--you were wise to find ammo that shoots to the sights. I think it is almost always a mistake to try to alter the iron sights on a drilling, unless a dovetailed front sight (taller or shorter) can be driven out. You will be surprised how hand-loading can get it regulated, and is often the only way to go if you insist on a particular premium performance bullet. Remember to arrive at a "cold barrel zero" and you will be good to go. I made a lazered 250 yd. shot on a whitetail this season with an 8x57 drilling. (scoped) Good luck on the project! Steve
