I have a set of Baker 12 gauge uncut 30" Nitro-Proof steel tubes from a Batavia Special extractor Baker- no dents, dings, ring well, have been rust-reblued, the steel grade markings on the barrels and the flats are clean and clear- I also have the complete extractor forearm matched to the barrels, and locks, firing pins, etc- from a "parts special" Baker I bought- That way, you can restore your Baker to a real Man's gauge ( a la Nash Buckingham) and not some over priced midget 20 gauge pipsqueak loads- betcha those tubes Dam barrels with the 28 gauge tubes weigh a tad more than the original barrels did--

Well here is a gun already done. A Parker DH at Cabelas ...
Status available Gun Library Scarborough, ME
Description: This D grade is built on a 1 1/2 frame and comes with 20ga Briley tubes with fixed choke at .010" and .016" constriction. ... It's been a while since I've been in Cabelas' but I think I remember that gun - a nice one.
fiery, dependable, occasionally transcendent

Got it- I bought a 12 gauge Baker Batavia Special- 30" H-T barrels intact, receiver complete, and forearm- the stock and the safety link have a few "issues" so I would offer for sale the barrels, forearm (wood and iron) and would strip the receiver of all working components (locks, firing pins with coil springs, trigger plate, etc-) for the right price. I will also try to e-mail this back to you. RWTF

Heavy, light, moderate weight, no difference if you can shoot. The heavy ones work well for targets and waterfowl. The light ones work well for upland Tne moderate ones , well they are moderate The Baker is now useful, whereas before tubes it was not useful. Joe Wood, as I remember it, you did not miss a clay today on field 6. Wish Amarillo Mike had been there for his monthly lesson. Mike I understand what you're saying. Different strokes for different folks. I gave it a couple trys, since it was all the rage. I've had two tubed guns. Both went down the road. The first was a 3200 skeet. The second a K80. A 9 lb skeet gun might be for some guys, but not me. The gun felt like the barrels were made from lead pipe with those tubes installed. The tubes for the K80 were sold and replaced with individual subgauge barrels. I liked it much better.
