Sounds like you have been confusing the neighbors for years, I'm sure it's a kick. A lot of folks that I run into think they're really neat once they learn more about them. One of Dietrich Apel's wishes when he formed the GGCA was to have members educate others to help preserve the traditions and history of German gun making, a.k.a. "The Cause". Great job!
Have you by chance posted pictures of your .43 Mauser on the double rifle thread? I'd like to see it. I picked up a rather nice hammer Sauer a year ago but haven't got around to shooting it as yet.
