Assuming the barrels are intact this is an E grade and if cleaned and mechanically perfect it is about a $1500 gun. Remember one barrel doesn't cock and the forend is missing the tip piece. I would not just leave it at that. I would have Buck Hamlin or Keith Kearcher clean it up, repair whatever is causing one barrel not to cock, repair the forend and leave it at that. That should not cost all that much. But it is much more valuable if properly cleaned and mechanically sound.

Bob Noble, Lefever collector extraordinaire, coined a term "farm fresh" for a B grade Lefever he received in Las Vegas at the Jan Show. It was a very nice gun, but dirty (not rusted just dirty) as all get out. A little professional cleaning turned this gun, which would not have attracted attention in a pawn shop, into a gun that will make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. Before and after pictures will be featured in the next LACA newsletter.

I cant thank you guys enough for all your information. I plan on sending the gun to Keith for a "tune up" lightly clean the stock and leave the rest alone. In answer to a question I live in Idaho and bought the gun at a local pawn shop for 475.00. Kinda thought I was getting a good deal but needed another opinion. if I ever decide to sell It will be on this forum so if anyone who has helped me wants it they will have first crack at it.

Like the man said: "Farm fresh".
I think you did all right at $475, assuming the bores are OK.
