Anyone care to give this gentleman an estimate of the gun's value? It's an early pivot lever gun that appears to be in good shape. I don't have a blue book handy but would be curious to know myself.

The 31st Edition of the Blue Book lists a 30% Lefever D Grade at $1400. That stated I bought a D grade 10 last summer in better condition for $1600.

Somewhere between $1000 and $1500.

thank you very much for the info. Now would you guys leave it alone and use it the way it is or is this a gun worthy of a restoration? My guess is you will tell me to leave it alone but I want to make sure. I am going to go out and get some murphys oil soap and clean the stock a little.

As someone who makes his living fixing up firearms, I vote for leaving it alone, seeing as there aren't any obvious flaws that need attention. I think you'll be surprised what a good cleaning will do.

Clean up the stock and leave the metal as is. Or there is no shame to just leaving the entire gun as is. Not every gun needs to be restored to factory.

Where are you located? I thought I saw a very similar gun at the Baltimore show this weekend. Is this the same gun? I'll try to look at it for you if you will tell me the table number. I was a bit put off by the price or I would have discussed it at the show.
