You guys that think you can't change point of impact with a rib are dead wrong. Go look at Krieghoff or Perazzi trap guns with adjustable ribs or better yet shoot one and fool around with the adjustments. You'll get the education. smile Bill

I have heard that trapshooters use different heights of ribs depending on the lighting. Daylight and nightime can require different ribs. No personal experience.

I believe that the ventilated ribs on some SXS shotguns are there for the insertion of various weeds, grasses, sticks and other vegetation apparently in order to provide camoflage for the gun.

If you move the muzzle end of a rib left or right, you will certainly move POI.

I agree with what billgrill is saying, in principle. If you mount the gun the same, you will hit the same if you are only moving the back of rib left, right, up or down. But once you move the front of the rib left or right or up or down, it will indeed move your POI.
