This is a Markhor in 24Kt gold with large scroll.
It was hand cut with a new tool Its called a " Lyndsay Classic Palm Control " and features his original patented palm control.
It is a very precise instrument, each one is made by hand.
The handle is a burl called Amboyna. I wish all my guns had wood this good.

All the best,

Very nice. Tell us some more. How do you use it? I could learn to use it it in 10 or 12 years.

Barry,
Your scroll looks as good as ever with the new tool. I like your broad flanks on the scroll & leaf cuts. That looks like a very expensive jackhammer and you've put it to good use.

Barry,
Very nice work. Amboyna is quite beautiful. I used an outstanding piece for scales on a damascus fixed blade knife. I was very happy with the result.

Hey cuz ---- looks as good at this stage as that sheep you did. Wasn't that the flip side of this action ? You'll jave to show the sheep as well, I know you've still got those pictures. Ken

Very nice, how long did it take to get the feel of the new tool?

I have never engraved but, like all, I admire the ability. Is there a web page for this Lyndsay Tool?

Here is the Lyndsay tool website.

Some other good info on hand engraving at their site.

Another hobby I've been thinking about picking up. After stockmaking, checkering and engraving when will I find the time to hunt?
