I've had a pair of Chameau Chasseurs for probably 12 or more years. One of the best purchases I've ever made. Don't think they can't take the rough stuff-some of the toughest rubber I've ever seen. I wear Lacrosse Grange boots during Mississippi turkey seasons and they are good boots, but just nowhere near what a Chameau is.

One thing I have done that really makes mine fit better and keep your feet warmer is putting a pair of Lacrosse's 6mm wool felt innersoles in them. But it has to be the 6mm, because the 9mm, which are more common, make the boot too tight.
