I have to endorse the Du Barry's. All the gay men wear them. LOL I'm starting to like the idea of the Dubarry's. As I am 53, am I old enough to qualify as being slightly eccentric, rather than gay? Haha. My enthusiasm for wearing rubber boots was certainly viewed as eccentric over the last 10 years when I was living on the Canadian prairies. I think the proper choice was supposed to be between deer hunting boots and waders. Because my old ones were green, it was absolutely clear I wasn't a farmer. The local farmers supply stores only sell black with red trim. And my hunting companions just knew I was a bit "off". Both the boots and the lack of a camo painted semi-auto made sure of that. They sure liked the smoked oysters and cheese when we stopped for a snack, though!
The world cries out for such: he is needed & needed badly- the man who can carry a message to Garcia

LaCrosse Alpha Burly's in OD green. Great boots, about $110 a pair. My last pair gave me 6 years of solid service before I tore a hole in them crossing a fence. I've worn those boots sharptail (and Chukar hunting) hunting in central Nebraska, Iowa, North Dakota, Idaho and Utah, I've put serious miles on them, and if I would've picked a better place to cross a fence this year, I'd still be wearing them. :-(

Man, you guys must have some pretty sharp fences. Razor wire, maybe? My le Chameau have hit plenty of downed fences without so much as a ding.
But maybe I'm light in my chameau - I like smoked oysters, too

One word can sum it up, Gaucho, as in Gaucho barbed-wire.
Kind Regards,

Not saying it can never happen, just not an issue for me when regarding wearing rubber boots. My main issue is finding ones that fit like a real boot, not something you have to wear two pair of socks in to keep your feet from moving around in, don't overheat me like neoprean does, and has some grip.

I saw a chap today wearing Du Barry's. I said " I understand that men who wear Du Barry's may be gay?" His reply - " Give me a kiss and I'll tell you"

If you really want to be different, buy and wear shrimper boots. For reasons known only to them, the boots are solid white.

George, I bet they sell well in San Francisco. Homeless Joe, I only kiss men to cure their snoring if I am sharing a room or barracks with them.
