Thanks all for the various feedback. I have different pairs of hunting boots and shoes as no doubt is true for most of us. Leather uppers, nylon uppers, Gore-tex etc. In fact I am in the shoe business myself.
I have had a pair of high quality Tretorn rubber boots for about 20 years that I found I just gravitated more and more to. Used them a lot for just walking the dog as well.. However they are now done.
It is the leather lining (comfort) and the side zipper that drew me to the Chasseur boot from Le Chameau. I have a very high instep which makes getting a good fit for extensive walking AND being able to remove the boot sometimes difficult. That's why I'm wary of the neoprene lined boots. A little moisture and they are never coming off!
As usual in Canada selection is more limited than south of the border and I don't buy footwear without being able to try it on. I have not seen Aigle here.
