John Mann has been mentioned but what about the Vietnam vet who got bust up a bit, rode a motorcycle everywhere, disappear for months and reappear with common sense when it was needed, Texan, I believe? He may not be dead but gone off to do other things. He deserves a name---for now.
King, I think you may be referring to "Amigo Will" f/k/a "Wilhelm Gregor". He made it through the last Galveston Hurricane just sitting it out. Last heard of, he moved up to Alaska where there was no electricity or internet. Don't think he's among the departed, but I always did like his posts...Geo
