However I think we're dealing with a lot of over lubricating that occurred in the past when people frankly didn't know any better. With the information available today I would think most gun owners would know better. I will say this again. I have guns I've owned for close to half a Century and none of them have stock issues but then I've never excessively lubricated them either.
