It seems, time and time again, that major dealers of Parkers so often refer to Del Grego as Del Greco. Surely these "major" dealers know of Larry Del Grego, Sr., "Babe" and Lawrence and their repeated mis-spelling of their surname has got to be intentional...I wonder why?

There is a certain percentage of the population, some estimate as high as 95%, who feel a certain pride in being unable to spell words or names properly. It stems from the idea that it is 'uncool' to be smart.

That's why some of the coolest people you will meet use tidbits such as UR, L8R, Boyz, Thanx, and crunk.

I've heard of El Greco. Wasn't he the guy that started that form of arkitechair with all those round corners and neon lights? Art Greco? right?

I have seen guns advertised as being refinished or upgraded by Delgreco, Del Greco, Delgreggo, and other variations to mislead those buyers with "a little knowledge" into believing they are getting the Del Grego real thing. Deceptive advertising in a lot of cases.

It's probably as much laziness as poor spelling. How many times have you seen Baretta's for sale. The seller obviously watched TV while he should have learned how to read the name on his gun and when to use apostrophe's. (not to make a plural!)

Yeah, but Chaddick, Barnett and other supposedly reputable Parker dealers trying to be deceptive?...Do you really think so? I can understand the big box retailers' ad people may have a problem with spelling and knowing who and what the Del Grego's are all about, but I do not think they are trying to be deceptive--or are they?

The continual mis-spelling of Del Grego among the experienced Parker dealers has been going on for a long time. These dealers aren't morons are they?
